I don't necessarily believe this all applies to Vince Young or even that I agree with it entirely, but this article certainly raises some interesting thoughts.
After all this stuff with him over the last week I believe my exact words were, "Vince Young needs to stop being a big baby." I still think that. I don't feel it's my place to say this guy (the writer) is right on, but I do agree with one point--you can't be an NFL quarterback without a thick skin--black or white.
Race aside, the fact of the matter is, he's not a smart quarterback. The commentator on the game today hit the nail on the head when he said (and I'm paraphrasing here), "The difference between Vince Young and Kerry Collins is that Collins knows exactly what he is going to do before he does it. He goes into each play with a plan. He's able to get the ball to his receivers faster and therefore they become more productive." Young can't figure out what he's going to do fast enough and it gets him in trouble. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten hurt worse than this knee sprain at this point.
