Happy Birthday USA!!

We had a great time today at our friends' -- Brian and Marney Patterson -- annual 4th of July cookout. Cooper and his friend Will (Brian and Marney's son) had a great time playing with balls and running around the backyard. And eating pizza! All the grown ups enjoyed fresh fried catfish and hushpuppies. The food was great and it was great to see our friends. We also got to spend time with our old friends, Justin and Tracie. The night ended with an exciting and quite impressive fireworks display courtesy of Brian and a couple of his brave friends. Cooper was pretty delirious during the fireworks display because it was about 2 hours past bedtime, but overall he seemed pretty intrigued. That is, as long as Jeremy kept his ears covered. And he crashed like a ton of bricks about 30 seconds into the car ride home (see last pic). Overall, I think this 4th of July was quite a success!
