I Hate Politics

Everywhere I go, people are blabbing about politics. I just want to take this opportunity to say that while I am less than excited about the likely outcome of the upcoming election, I AM SO READY FOR IT TO BE OVER. These two candidates are so diametrically opposed to one another that it seems quite strange to me that so many people are confused about which one is more in line with their political philosophy. I'm going to make it simple for you. (1)a. If you believe that strong economies are built from the bottom up...Obama's your guy. b. If you believe that strong economies are built from the top down...McCain's your guy. (2)a. If you believe in a paternalistic government, which bridges the gap for those who either can't or choose not to provide for themselves...Obama's your guy. b. If you believe this "bridging" should be highly limited, McCain's your guy. [Most of the stuff they blab about fits into one of the two previous categories, so stay focused.]

Hope that helps. And you won't change my mind no matter what you say, so you should focus any discussion efforts on someone who is confused about whether they are an a. or b. I'm not.

You and me, both, cuz! I hate when people try to change my mind, or even worse...tell me that I'm flat-out wrong for having beliefs. Only a month to go!! Hang in there!

I'm so with you. I hate this election season, it is all old and tired and really mind-numbing to continue to hear and read about it. Good summary, I'll send any undecideds your way.
