Until the Whole World Hears

I am so proud of my precious husband Jeremy, who will soon embark on a noble and worthy adventure. On Saturday, Jeremy and a team of 5 other men from ClearView will be going to Mali, West Africa to tell some folks about Jesus - folks who wouldn't hear the Word of God if not for our church. This isn't your typical mission trip. They aren't building schools or passing out soccer balls or providing medical care to folks in need. All of those are noble causes, and this is not to detract from those important missions. But the mission of this team is the most important mission of all - they are going to spread the message of Christ. That's all. These folks in Mali that our church has identified would not be hearing the Word of God if not for us. I am so happy that our church family could be part of something so significant, and I am so proud of my husband for stepping out in faith to tell others in a far away land about our Lord. As he prepares for this journey (and I prepare mentally and emotionally for him to be away), I am reminded of the words of Casting Crowns's new song, words that resonated with me the first time I heard them and even more so now. I hope that you will be in prayer along with me as Jeremy reaches out to the people of Mali, people who I hope to see one day in heaven - at least in part because of the work my husband does in that place. To God be the glory.

Until the Whole World Hears

Ready yourselves, ready yourselves
Let us shine the light of Jesus in the darkest night
Ready yourselves, ready yourselves
May the powers of darkness tremble as our praises rise

Until the whole world hears Lord, we are calling out
Lifting up your name for all to hear the sound
Like voices in the wilderness, we're crying out
And as the day draws near, we'll sing until the whole world hears.
Whoa-oh-oh. Whoa-oh-oh.
We'll sing until the whole world hears.
