Cooperisms

Cooper is really becoming a hoot. And it's so interesting to notice how much he's now paying attention to what goes on around him, rather than just existing in the world we create for him. And I know those of you with children who are or were once toddlers understand completely - he has his own thoughts, his own personality, his own view of the world. Just a couple of funny examples from the weekend:

The three of us went to see my niece, Natalie, play baseball Saturday morning, and we stopped by Moab, a local bike shop in Murfreesboro, on the way home from the game. As we headed out the door of the bike shop, not having purchased anything, Cooper looked at the store clerk who had been helping us and said, "We already have our own bikes."

Then tonight, at Target, I was returning some pajamas that I had bought for Cooper, and I was holding up two different sets for him to choose from to replace the ones that were too big. He chose the "monkey ones" over the "turtle ones." As I put the "monkey ones" in the buggy, he said, "I sink [think] those are cool." I think they're cool too Coop. And I think you're even cooler.
